Job Description

Full-service integrated advertising agency is seeking a talented proofreader / copy editor to join their team to with workload of upcoming campaigns! In this role you will will be responsible for editing ad copy as well as other traditional marketing materials. You would review and edit projects for spelling, grammar, content/logic, punctuation, style / branding guidelines and consistency within a project, across projects and across a variety of media. - Typographical errors (leading, kerning, alignment, missing letters or copy, etc.) - Maintain client style guides. - Assist when needed for copy suggestions/revisions. - Utilize standard proofreaders' marks. - Reference AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style. The ideal candidate has had experience working in an agency environment on big brand accounts. You will work alongside the creative and marketing teams.

  • At least 2 years of proofreading experience, in an agency setting or professional services organization.
  • Is comfortable editing and proofreading materials in various media, including print, online and broadcast.
  • A passion for hunting typos and correcting grammar.
  • Accuracy under the pressure of extremely tight deadlines.
  • Awesome organizational and time management skills.
  • A strong work ethic toward getting tasks completed, no matter the obstacles thrown your way.
  • An ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
