Job Description

Design Studio/Agency in downtown Providence, RI has a great opportunity available for a talented Production/Studio Artist to work within a fast paced creative environment. You will see an idea through from concept through production under sr. leadership. Other responsibilities/focuses include: Mechanicals/Layout: - Taking quick visuals from client/art director and building mechanical files for approval - Ensuring that specs for these files are appropriately input into slugs - Keeping track of changes, executing rounds of revisions when necessary Creative work: - Support team with concepts or executions for various creative projects that may come through: logos/branding/package graphics. - Assisting with building presentations for creative work (mood boards, briefs, pitch docs, etc) Product Photo retouching: - vector clipping paths in photoshop - compositing multiple images together seamlessly - strong visual IQ to adjust lighting/levels appropriately - making more intricate adjustments to photos (fixing wrinkles, perfecting lines & shapes to grid) The ideal candidate is passionate about the design process with a desire to work with other smart creative people to solve design/production challenges. Work very closely with leadership on traditional, packaging, photo retouching and a brand voice for each client (entertainment, retail, tech, etc). Very collaborative team. On-site also includes a gym, parking, plenty of open space and right next to many fun restaurants!

Qualifications
  • Degree in Graphic Design or a related creative discipline
  • 1+ years industry experience in an agency or creative studio setting
  • Portfolio showing a strong design sense in traditional print, packaging, identity, etc
  • Strong in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign on mac platform
  • Poise and focus under pressure
  • Must be detailed oriented and work well handling multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Advanced level of experience with the Creative Suite
  • Passion (the ability to view the work as fun in a small collaborative!)
