Art Director (Digital)

Job Description

Mid-sized digital agency just north of Boston is looking for a talented, versatile creative that brings together design with a strong brand awareness. Lead creative work closely with clients to deliver on business goals while creating high-performance web campaigns/sites/experiences.

The ideal individual will have experience working with/creating online campaigns and with product partners to translate business and brand goals. Accomplished conceptual thinker with a keen awareness of digital trends, content strategy, deep knowledge in marketing performance measurement, expert in creating intuitive, engaging experiences.

Extensive experience in a client facing, creative leadership to help build productive relationships across the organization. Ideal candidate is passionate about the design process with a desire to work with other smart creative people to solve big brand design challenges.


  • Work very closely with the CD on bringing to life vision across all projects.
  • Partner with all disciplines (digital, technology, marketing and production).
  • Brainstorm initial creative direction and provide design rationales outlining direction and tactical solutions.
  • Ensure designs meet objectives, budget, timeline and quality of deliverables.
  • Commitment to continuous process improvement initiatives and ability to solve problems.
  • Inspiring confidence to work independently and in support of department goals and business objectives.
  • Provide quality control over concepts and projects

  • Degree in Graphic Design or a related creative discipline
  • 5+ years industry experience in an agency or creative studio setting
  • Powerful portfolio of a creative that demonstrates originality, innovation, problem-solving, and personal expression
  • Poise and focus under pressure
  • Must be detailed oriented and work well handling multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and creative problem solving skills
  • Advanced hands-on level of experience with the Creative Suite
  • Exposure to both traditional and digital campaigns
  • Ability to work with Product Marketing teams and translate product and business goals into impactful design; An ability to support creative goals and business objective
  • Knowledge of design principals across multiple devices (tablet, mobile, etc.)
  • Passion (the ability to view the work as fun!)
